Information and Communication Technology (SCM ICT)

The objectives of this Chief Directorate are to design and implement systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness of government procurement practices.

The objectives will be achieved through the modernisation of SCM technology by:

• Developing and enhancing state procurement ICT systems, solutions and tools (including the IFMS procurement module)
•  Establishing a state procurement ICT capability; and
• Establishing a national public state procurement ICT solution

The unit contributes to the implementation of SCM policy and practices.  Technology is employed to simplify, standardise and automate SCM with a view to optimise performance.
